Houlihan Lokey Recruiting Starting in November?

I'm a current sophomore, and I just noticed that Houlihan Lokey posted 2025 Summer Analyst positions in LA, but we're only in November.

Is there something I'm not understanding here or is HL really recruiting this early? I thought the earliest firms recruited in February

This year recruiting is insanely accelerated, so it sounds about right that posting are up. Currently working at a bank that had 2024 SA in April 2023 and is planning to start SA 2025 in Feb 2024. Makes sense that some other banks want to jump ahead.

If they posted last week, how much longer do you think it'll be open?

I ask because I planned to apply in early 2024, once I had a second semester internship secured and studied the BIWS interview guide over winter break (and a bigger HL network). I'm thinking of not applying to their LA offices (even though it's my preferred location) in the hopes that when they release applications for other locations, I'll be better prepared. What do you think?

In my non expert opinion best thing you can do is start networking with current analysts, associates, etc. and see what they have to say.

This seems like HR crossing off I's & T's rather than us gearing up. Most firms kick off their undergrad recruiting push internally after MBA recruiting concludes in January.
