How are bird courses looked at in the industry ?

Hello All,

Last summer I was able to take 2 online courses during the summer to boost my GPA. These were bird courses however they didn't sound like it (introduction to entrepreneurship etc.). However this summer there is less of a selection would a course called "ancient humour and digital media theory and practice" hurt my transcript and be a negative talking point in the interview. Taking these online courses in the summer helps me get ahead, reducing my course work during the year, also helps the GPA if I do well in them.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It actually helps with networking because I make jokes with VPs/ MDs about how my easy electives require more attention and focus than my econ + math courses. I doubt anyone is going to ding you or take anything more than a quick glance at your transcript to confirm that you have taken your major courses and your gpa matches what you listed.
