How can i best leverage a family connection to an MD?

I am currently a rising senior in high school. I have a close connection through family to an MD at a pretty decent MM Bank. I haven’t talked to this person about my goals yet but I am aiming for IB out of college. Since recruiting for banks are starting earlier and earlier these days, should i try to see if i could get a SA position at this bank the summer before my freshman year of college, or would that not be feasible? How should I go about best leveraging this connection? Any input is very appreciated, since i have 0 experience with actual networking thus far.
