How concerned should I be?

After reading a post titled "how fucked am I?" I thought I'd throw something out similar regarding my situation and trying to recruit/lateral. Was laid off a few months ago as an AN1 at a boutique and have had no success recruiting for literally anything at B5s / comparable boutiques in Toronto. Currently working at a dogshit family office far removed from Bay Street, and I wouldn't exactly say my current role revolves around "investing" rather a jack of all trades role with no structure/organization. Borderline embarrassed to put this place on my resume or LinkedIn, it's that bad from the inside. Have been trying to land something worth having for several months now (casting a wide net as time goes on), with limited interviews and very few coffee chats. How long is too long to keep trying like this? Anyone in a similar spot? Does anyone have any reason to believe recruiting will start to pick up again, specifically in Toronto?
