How do I make friends in NYC coming FT?
I am an incoming BB/MM FT analyst starting this month. I come from a non-target and have only a few friends in the city. I am 24 and moving into the city with my wife (FYI not looking to have kids or live a sedentary lifestyle anytime soon). I am looking to make friends and would love to know ways that any have you have tried in making friends and starting fresh in the city.
You’ll have an analyst class. That’ll be a good source hopefully. Otherwise social media like Facebook, IG, even this platform are designed to connect people. You may be surprised at how many people you knew in the past end up in nyc during their 20s or whatever. Good luck. Best wishes

Your best bet is to get close to your analyst class, the environment is kind of like pledging. You get close to each other through a mutual hatred of the people who haze you.
Plus you have a wife, so I’m sure you can just latch onto her social circle.
