How do you deal with slumps
How do you guys deal with slumps? Since starting FT I’ve just felt out of it like apathy. I put on 30 pounds, my mental state is fucked and I’m losing interest in everything. I’ve gone outside once since NY and I miss my friends and family.
Go to the gym
You need a series of obtainable goals, within and without the office. Diet and exercise would do wonders here — gives you a task, and you’ll feel better as your health improves
Please — get outside. I hate running as much as the next person, but you need air and sunlight. Go for a few long walks.
Some combination of: friends, outdoors, drinking, and exercise.
How do you do it with IB tho? Constant emails and workflow
Gotta start carving out time for yourself. It’ll get easier as you get a sense of what’s actually urgent.
Do you think it would be okay if I tell an associate I want to step away for 30min to go on a run (I’m 7 months into the job)?
