i'd let you use a non-operating effect to adjust my income if you know what i mean
EBITDA is not an accounting term. It can mean anything. Normally you would exclude non-operating income (expense in your example I presume?) from EBITDA. You could differentiate between reported EBITDA and adjusted/normalised EBITDA if you want to make a clear distinction between the both.
