Career Resources
McIntire is an IB factory. Sends multiple students to JP, Goldman, Citi, Credit Suisse, BofA, Barclays, Houlihan, Lazard, Evercore, Greenhill, etc every year. Target school for almost all BBs and boutiques. Lots of alumni connections at almost every bank.
A bit exaggerated. A target school but you need to work harder than If you went to an ivy. Maybe 20-25% of them break in.
Have some very good friends there (I'm from the Northern Virginia area). uva_2017 is pretty accurate. What I've heard though is that, at least with accelerated recruiting, you needed a pretty high (i.e. 3.8+) GPA to get interviews unless you networked really hard. Pretty much everyone with a 3.8+ GPA was able to land somewhere reputable as far as I know. Also, I think UVA isn't a target for MS, DB, and Barclays (but is for the other BBs), but does really well with EB's.
