How is recruiting for Boston boutiques coming from HYP?

Current student at HYP who has ties to the Boston area (I am either from there or go to school there but I won’t say for anonymity purposes).

For many personal reasons I would like to work at a regional boutique in Boston coming out of college and have been eyeing some interesting Software M&A boutiques like Shea & Co. and Aeris Partners. I wonder what the process is like for getting into one of these banks and how I can maximize my odds of doing so coming from HYP.

How should I go about networking, what technicals and behaviorals should I prepare for, and are there any other tips on the recruiting process for these kinds of banks?

find HYP alums at those places, technicals should be standard IB stuff but lean heavily into saas/software-specific metrics
