If I felt I was ready to take it let's say June 20th could I theoretically schedule the exam for the 21st?
Or does it have to be a certain amount of days in advance to the test date, lets say a week so then earliest date I could do is June 27th?

schedule whenever there is a time slot at your local prometric center. i drove 75 miles to a center just to get in earlier rather than stay at my local one and wait
appreciate the feedback but I'm not too worried about getting a time as there are many test sites and dates all within an hour of me. What I am wondering is if you need to be registered a certain amount of days in advance or not
i would just go through prometric and give it a shot whenever you're ready. i see no reason why not. when I was scheduling there was usually a fair amount of openings
