How long after Superday Radio Silence to followup?

Please refer to the title. Is it acceptable to place a call or send an email after 5 business days // a full week? I was called on the Monday after my Friday superday and told I was still a candidate of interest but it has been a week since that point.

yea I would reach back out. Bad news is that after that amount of time it is unlikely that you received an offer. However you never know

the bank in question called me the Monday after my Friday superday indicating I was a candidate of interest but the wait may be a bit longer. I'm assuming this is because they were still conducting superdays // waiting on top candidate responses?

Likely you are on wait list (if such a thing exists - arguable). Depending on yield, you may or may not receive an offer.

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."

You're 'on hold' (aka the waitlist). You should probably follow up to let them know that you're still very interested, and would love to work there. Also, let them know if you have any offers. Could speed things, although that might not necessarily be a good thing.

And also, would sending a thank you note to interviewers after so much time be considered a faux pas? Apparently all my interviewers liked me a lot, as per HR phone call, but clearly not enough to give me an instant offer...

This wont matter to be honest. The decision has already been made. You are likely either on hold right now or rejected. I've had tons of interviews and the same thing always holds true - if they want you , you will hear back right away.
