How long do I have to stay in banking?
Let's say I start as an IB analyst right after college. If I plan on eventually moving to corporate development at a normal company, how long would I have to stay in banking? I've heard two years, but can I somehow bring it down to one? Or is it not possible to find a new job this quickly?
If you want to do corp dev, little over one year will suffice. 2 is typically for buy-side associate recruiting
It would be helpful to get some transaction experience under your belt, primarily in M&A to make the move make a bit more sense though...
