How long do you think it would take to study for technicals?
Lets say someone knew behaviorals perfectly, how much time would one need to be ready for technicals if they had no prior financial or accounting background?
Curious what you guys would think, thanks.
2-3 weeks if you can dedicate a bit time every day and are above average in memorization and critical thinking. You could probably memorize all the basic questions in a week, and then spend the rest of time practicing non-standard interview questions.
Thanks!
I have a second round with a BB (think MS, GS, JPM), and I have no prior financial knowledge. (First round was completely behavioral, not even a question regarding the market) I finish work at around 8 and plan on studying technicals for at least 2 hours per night.
So MS?
Technicals aren't that hard tbh 3-4 weeks, 3-4 hours per day but ymmv
If you have no prior financial knowledge, maybe 4-6 weeks with several hours per day. It’s not rocket science but don’t underestimate it, finance students still fail those interviews. Once you’ve learned it once, you can refresh it in a day or two
Half a day. It's not difficult. Also be smart about it, find out what sort of questions they are likely to ask and learn those.
Depends on how pressing your interview is and how much you give a shit tbh.
Personally it took me 5 nights (all the guides and the 400 questions) but I don't think I slept that week. it's doable, just not advisable
If you have entire days, I think you can seriously make a dent if you have 3-4 full days
Dude what does it matter you already have a second round scheduled. Just grind it out. Worst case you over-prepared, not a bad thing
