I'm based in London so not sure if it applies to you. From what I heard and personal experience, they reject you quickly if you're really crap and easily eliminatable. Fairly quick (usually within same week) if you get the job. Probably forever if you're stuck in the middle.
well i didn't get rejected. although after the first 10 interviews i got rejected then they emailed me to come back to sit with a different team (how often does that happen?). from there i made it to final round with the VP . so total i wuld say 17 interviews. then talked to hr about prior comp! he was excited to say he is working on extending me an offer. he said i shuld hear back this or next week. guess ill sit tight. wonder if i shuld email the group head just to show further interest?
I think you should just sit tight now. They know you're interested. More often than not, HR has some internal procedure to go through before they can extend you an offer.
