How long will the NYC lateral market remain hot?
Title says it all. Was wondering how long we can expect to see a lateral market as hot as this one. Any insight is appreciated, thanks

Who knows? The first years start the desk in august but a ton of people will quit this month post bonus. I think there will be a need for people already ramped up so as long as deal activity is high, so will the lateral market
based on what i am seeing in terms of the upcoming generation on this forum, it might remain hot for a while
It’ll be red hot when bonuses drop and a ton of new 2nd years (recent 1 years) leave
How soon is too soon to lateral?
Hitting the desk now at a decent MM bank in a T2 city (Lincoln, Baird, etc), would be interested in lateraling to nyc to an EB or BB.
When is it acceptable to start networking and be considered an experienced enough candidate to lateral?
I'd say give it at least 7-8 months so you build a basic foundation and have things to talk about.
