How many analysts does an associate manage?
How many analysts does the typical associate manage, and how does that work exactly? How are those assignments made and who makes them? How does an analyst learn of their assignment?

Doesn't really work like that. There are usually two staffers, analyst staffer and an associate staffer. VP or higher requests staffing (associate, analyst, or both) and then you'll get an email asking if you can help out. You're not necessarily "assigned" to an associate
