I think I’m at roughly 15-20 calls now over the past 5-6 weeks, mostly MDs but a couple of VPs, associates, and analysts. I’m still pushing along steadily but feels like I’m not getting anywhere yet. Are my numbers just low or is it something else?

Dumb question there isn’t a set ammount of calls you need to do id rather have 1 good call at a firm that leads to someone going to bat for me than 5 mediocre calls where people forget who you are a week later.
Obviously, I’m asking for anecdotes not a hard set number

I tried cold outreach but got 0 responses. Reconnected with a few analysts from SA networking that were happy to help
I’ve always followed the mindset that seniors have more sway, but seems FT recruiting looks for competency and fit over nepotism (lol). Again this is just my experience, it’s definitely political and depends on the person and group
