How much better is HL RX than M&A?

I noticed that HL has a RX team that is one of the top groups on the street and seems to stand above the other HL groups. Are exits and pay significantly better in RX than M&A at HL? I want to know because it gives me some insights as to what I should try and pursue for SA roles.

RX is inherently the strongest group at HL but seems to be slowing down a bit. An RX MD recently switched his Oil and Gas restructuring team to Oil and Gas M&A.

Strongest team at HL CF is Business Services. Industrials is also quite strong. Tech is fairly weak at HL.

No this is not true. HL M&A is a heavy hitter in the MM and are much more comparable in deal experience and exposure to Baird/Blair/Jef/rothschild and some other banks like RBC/DB/UBS.

HW does smaller regional deals where the likes of stifle / Lincoln / RJ are active

Then again there are no banks that do as many deals as HL so to better answer your question: HL M&A is top of the top in terms of fee chasing , soul crushing sweatshop
