How much can you make out of Undergrad
This isn't specific to IB, but had a friend from wharton tell me he'll clear $300k as a machine learning quant at a top Hedge Fund... Is this just cap?

I've heard 400k for those quant fund roles if you include the signing bonus
Depends on the type of fund! Generally, it's the ones without as long of a leash that offer that much, I.e. Citadel or SIG
I've never heard of quants making that much, had a friend hit almost $200k out of undergrad at a top hedge fund
Yes it is definitely possible. Most people will count signing bonus in that.
Top places will be (relatively normal ranges for “top” places):
25-100k signing
125-175k base
50-100k bonus 1st year
$400k is highest I’ve seen (outlier), I will say most will be $200-300k
