how much do banks care about this

Let's say you interned at Bank X in high school, how much will they care when you apply for summer internships as a college student.
Also, Bank X is a bulge bracket, and the internship was not received through parental connections.
Also assume when you apply for a summer internship, the recruiter only sees that one line on your resume. What I mean by that is you don't try to network at all at your internship in high school, so you don't stay in touch with your supervisor, etc.

Honestly I have no idea, but i'm not expecting anything big since it's high school but at the same time, I know I'm not going to be fetching coffee.

doubt xyz's ibd division will care that you did pwm at some regional branch of their bank.

however, having finance internship experience this early on will give you a leg up vs your competition. just keep stacking that resume.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking: is it beneficial that you had an internship in high school that was finance related? Or is it bad that you didn't keep in touch? Or that you'll somehow be dinged because you already interned at Bank X and you want to go back?

Any finance related internship will help, especially in high school, because not many people do internships in high school and no one expects it. I made pizzas, worked in the produce department of a grocery store and a few other random things: I doubt they helped me get an IB internship in college (although working does help just because it shows you know what work is) Doesn't matter if it's a pwm position in Bumblefuck Idaho because you're not going to get a true summer internship in IB when you're in high school anyway. I'd recommend staying in touch or getting back in touch with people at the internship because it never hurts to start building up a network.
