Hi guys,
Wednesday morning I received the call for the offer at a Bulge bracket bank for an off-cycle internship in Paris.
How much time do they usually need to send the contract? I just declined another offer and I am afraid that for the Covid issue (France has 50000 cases today) they could just say "we will not do the internship" or something else.

I really doubt they would screw you over. In my experience, european teams have these slow secretaries that take so much time to draft the interns' contracts. I would just send an email asking if there is any information you can facilitate for the drafting of the contract
In the end, in France there is a sort of "Internship Agreement" that is provided by the university when the internship is "curricular". My fault. Thanks btw
I had the same worry after getting my verbal offer from a BB. After 9 days I finally got a call from HR confirming the details and received my contract two days later. HR can be notoriously slow, so send a polite follow-up email after a week if you don't receive anything by then.

I'd follow up at 1 week, BB HR is beyond slow.
The good part is that a BB will definitely not cancel your internship because of covid - small boutiques could cancel if they have to go WFH, but BBs aren't going to be spooked by the variant even if you end up being remote.
