Title says it all. i am a first year banker in NYC and more often than not in pitch meetings, a corporate treasurer is present. How much do these guys make and what exactly do they do? Are they on the fast track to CFO? If so, sounds like a decent career move if at a big enough company. Thanks

I would imagine several hundred thousand if at a big company. I'm not sure how exciting the day-to-day is - managing cash, managing debt maturities and raises, things like that. Going from Treasurer to CFO is absolutely doable. At the two F500s I've worked at, the Treasurers seem to be the next guys in line for CFO.
