how much writing is done at the Analyst level

I did an ER internship last summer where I had to write some ER reports - hated myself in the process because I'm not that strong of a writer.

As I look to ramp up in the IB recruiting process, was wondering how much writing is involved for first years (and SA)? Is it generally the VP/ASO who comes up with the text on slides / in pitchbooks or is that something an Analyst generally all does?

obv to compensate I'm good as fuck with numbers though

I wouldn't worry too much (if at all) about it tbh. It doesn't matter how clear, concise, impactful, and/or insightful your commentary is...it will ALWAYS be re-written by an Associate > VP > Director  > MD > Multiple conflicting MDs.

Usually it'll go something like this: "can we make this [insert subjective item]" - my personal favorite is "punchier" - and then they'll proceed to give you an illegible text mark-up with all of your commentary aggressively crossed out with red marker.
