I was just wondering how often you guys pitch?
For context I work at a middle market bank (M&A) and I'd say we pitch probably once a month (when not in a global pandemic). All of our pitches are sell-side engagements.

Our group pitches probably 1-3x a month, but i personally do one every 5-6 months or so.
Interested to know about the Houston banks (would appreciate it if you could mention the type of the bank and where it is relatively placed in energy league tables)
Just started, but from what I know, very often --- we pitch IPOs...
Like market updates & stuff? I do them 2 times a week, actual pitches, maybe once a week (lower BB)
I meant a full pitch to offer a service to a potential client (not market updates or general touch points).
There is absolutely no way you do a pitch every week....
In a normal year, I work on 6 bake-off pitches (50-60 pages) and another 6-10 valuation guidance discussions (10-25 pages).
I wouldn’t count bake offs as a pitch, they are a lot more intense. I’d say a pitch is anything that you try to sell a client on, including a book of strips where the Md just talks about the businesses.

I prepare materials for a client meeting (market update/introduction to firm/touch base) once a week. Full on bake-off probably 5-6 times a year
