This is for a lateral position but full interview slate below:

- Gave three companies (Amazon, Salesforce, Apple) had to rank them on betas, and EBITDA margin

- Walk through a PP&E loss on sale on the statements

- Would a company with SBC have a higher TEV than a company that pays employees with cash

- Understand the 3 main valuation methodologies

- Walk through a recent LionTree deal, testing your understanding of some subvertical in the TMT space

- Walk through two companies that should merge in the TMT space and why

went to a target and first round last year in April / May (?) was an alum analyst, half technical half behavioral. second round was the same but it was an associate. aside from basic 3 statements / accounting / valuation, they went into some merger math but very high level on LBO (like asking for definition).

SD was with 2 VPs, completely behavioral - you need to have good reasons why boutique, why TMT/specifically media and vibe with the people. definitely emphasize you want to work really hard to learn a lot because theyre known for being 100+ hour week grinders. one VP told me anecdotes of SAs being lazy / wanting to coast so they obviously really want to avoid that.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! I actually had my first round already and it was very focused on tech-related technicals lol. I appreciate the insight if I am lucky enough to get a second round—was this for the nyc or sf office?
