How the internship offer works?

Hi, I'm an INTERNATIONAL student at a target school and was just curious to how the internship offer works? Please it'll only take like 10 seconds to read!

Suppose I were to land a private wealth management for freshmen summer. How will it work if it's unpaid?

For example, will the recruiter ask me to sign a contract, show my passport, my immigration status etc. for this unpaid internship? Or do I just go into the office and start doing assigned work right away?

Also how does it work if it's a paid internship? Will i need to sign a contract etc. etc.?

How does it work?

Thanks

During the application process or just after you receive the offer they will ask you about your ability to work/require sponsorship for a Visa (these questions are usually done on the website, but can be asked after you receive the offer).

You still sign some contracts and non-disclosure agreements, paid or unpaid.
