How to be good at Coverage in Corporate Banking under IB
At a large balance sheet bank in NYC as Analyst 1, in a industry specific coverage group under CIB (work alongside the IB people). Mainly will be on the relationship management side of things with some credit work as well. Heard it will be pretty chill 50-60 hours.
I was looking for any advice / tips to really understand my industry and do well in this corporate banking role.
As well as if it's possible to lateral after maybe 1 or 2 years in corporate banking to IB in that industry group at a different bank, and what steps I should take to increase my chances... and also deciding if this move is right for me or whether to just keep trying to move up in corporate banking instead.
Thanks all
Bump, also curious
