How to prepare for a DCM Origination interview ?

Hello all,

I hope that all is well,

I have an upcoming interview for a DCM Origination (FIG/Corporate/SSA) internship at a german bank, I’ve always been intrigued by DCM and is extremely excited by this opportunity, but I have no idea how to prepare.

I’ve been brushing up my macroeconomics, trying to understand the cycle of a DCM transaction, the products for each sector (Corporates, SSA, FIG), but I want to make sure I’m preparing correctly.

If there’s any DCM professional here, what would you be willing to test in an internship ? What type of skills would you try to challenge ?

I’m thinking about preparing some sort of Macro note in Powerpoint or a presentation or something like that to differentiate myself from other candidates, but I’m out of ideas, what would love if a candidate came to the interview and gave you ?

Thanks all,
