I have been having conversations with my manager, fellow interns, and even headhunters. I wholeheartedly agree that company x is awesome and I would like a return offer. How do I go about it?

Not sure what you're asking. Obviously the point of the internship is to get you to work there (assuming there are enough spots and you don't fuck up). If they keep on hinting it at the end of the internship then it's probably because they want to persuade you to accept the return offer. Just say you agree by reiterating what he/she is saying plus adding a personal spin to it by mentioning why. Not only will it boost their ego but it will demonstrate that you actually want the return offer.
Sb'd. Thanks! It sometimes feels awkward for me. Obviously I want the return offer and I agree that it's a great firm to work for hence accepting the internship offer. For the manager/headhunters, is it more of an ego booster for themselves to continue pitching the company to me?
