How would a gap on the resume look?

If anyone is looking to just straight up quit (without another job offer) after their bonus, how negatively would a gap on the resume look?

I'd love to take extended time off (3-6 months) and "re-find myself" after years of banking, really travel and do some soul-searching, visit family, etc. Essentially the things I haven't been able to do.

My only concern is how this would look. With the right story, could it even be painted positively or neutral at the very least?

Not that I want to get right back into finance after, but you never know...
