Guys, what's your opinion on HSBC HK? Had an opportunity with them in Lev Fin team.
I know that HSBC is not a BB and is deemed as retail-oriented by many of you. But fairly speaking, what do you think of their HK office? This bank has a strong presence in HK for a long time.
Your ideas on exit opps, bonus, working hours, etc. for HSBC HK and Lev Fin is also welcomed!

HSBC has a huge commercial/retail banking presence in Hong Kong. They print the currency (or at least they used to) there as well. Hours-80-110 like other Hong Kong banks. No clue on comp, bonus, or exit opps, but HSBC IBD is formidable in Hong Kong (top 10 deal flow for sure)

HSBC is a huge trade bank, never thought of them as a commercial presence. I am US based though so I am biased. If you are interested in international exposure then you should be happy with HSBC.
hsbc is absolutely horrible, horrible culture and mismanagement is what i hear. doa search.

How about the exit opps? Would several years experience in HSBC Lev Fin offer me an opps to knock the door of top PEs or other BBs? And what about their reputation in business schools for MBA admission? Here we talk about HSBC HK, I suppose it should be different than HSBC US...
Asian Lev Fin is not worth doing. There's practically no high yield market over there and all of the casino stuff will be done out of the US. Pretty sure syndicated loans are all but unheard of in Asia as well.
