Huge Thank You and Group Advice

All,

First off, I need to thank everyone on this site. I've been a member under various names for about 2.5 years and I can't begin to describe how useful some of the information I've gained has been. I received an SA offer for GS NY IBD and can attest to the fact that WSO (the forums and the guides) were a huge help!

This being said, I have one last question for all the bankers/PE professionals on here. For the summer position, we're supposed to submit a list of our preferred groups. My main goal is to open doors for PE recruiting down the road to make sure I keep my options open. From what I understand the 2 best groups for this would be TMT and FIG. However, we're supposed to list a top 3 selection and I was wondering what everyone considered to be the next group on the list in terms of PE placement. Would it be CRG given the high volume of LBO transactions the group handles?

Thanks again.

PE shops don't invest solely in FIG and TMT, but all the generalist megafund PE firms and large hedge funds will be knocking on the doors of GS TMT/FIG analysts come recruiting time.

i've heard that consumer retail and nat. resources are decent.
