I don’t give a f*ck anymore

Associate in corporate banking here and I genuinely don’t give a f*ck anymore. My hours haven’t been bad, 60-70 most of the time, and I like my coworkers, but the last 2 years have been a constant fire drill. Everything from last minute issues with the deal structure or credit package, tight timeline requests out the gate, to bullshit tasks that have to be done immediately for internal reporting purposes. It has been non-stop and has sucked any amount of enjoyment out of the job for me. I have no issue working hard to get the deals done, but when literally everything is a short fuse request its hard for me to imagine why anyone would stay in this seat. At this point I’m actively recruiting for credit funds so the end is in sight, but I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar experience and how it played out for them.

I interned in CB this summer and am coming back full-time. I can't really relate to you yet since I only worked for 10 weeks, but I'm curious how recruiting for credit funds has been going for you. Have you been getting a lot of traction coming from CB and is there a specific credit investing strategy that you're interested in?

I’m working with recruiting firms who are setting me up with funds in my specific coverage area. Just started the process though so I haven’t gotten to that harder part of the interviewing stage yet.
