I go to a target - can someone explain OCR?
Is OCR when a bank lists open first round interview on handshake?
When do these typically show up, I can’t see any right now?
I hear about firms like HL having duper days but I haven’t seen any OCR?
I feel like I don’t understand what it is
bump
If you're a freshman I wouldn't worry about that yet. Usually (from my experience at chicago) firms will visit investment clubs or have general recruiting events that go into detail on their application process. I believe when most people say "OCR" they just mean that firms come to campus and reach out to the student body. Superdays are much later in the process after you've already submitted your written application + resume.
Not trying to dox myself too much, but not a freshman.
Gonna start recruiting soon. From what I understand, OCR is being able to schedule my own first-round interview through an application on handshake as soon as I submit my resume (I'm remote now too and I've been told most processes are virtual).
Is that what it is? Am I understanding it correctly?
Oof... yeah you need to get caught up ASAP. Like I think CITI's applications already closed one of my soph buddies told me.
It might vary bank to bank like I have 0 clue on what HL does for their recruiting process. However, I would solely focus on getting the written app+resume in ASAP
Ocr usually starts in August like you said easier to get interviews from the banks there.
