Stop complaining, do whatever your associate tells you to do with a smile. Volunteer to do more, and ask your staffer is there are more projects available for you. Learn about maintenance & incurrence covenants, leverage/coverage, learn as much as possible. I hope no one finds out that you said your learning curve plateaued in just 1 week...

but you're right. i might as well. its just that i've done most of this before, and its a bit hard to feel the same enthusiasm as other interns.
Modeling isn't everything either...build connections, listen in on conference calls, figure out the difference between a HY bond and a leveraged loan...
As walkio said, look around/talk to people and try to find an area of the bank that interests you more. If you're talented, the bank would rather retain you in a different role than lose you.

Your suggestion that you've "done most of this before," despite only having compiled an aggregate 10-12 weeks in banking (at the intern level) is absurd.
Truth. Your experience from the previous summer should allow you to step up, take on more responsibility, and do more interesting work as opposed to the mind-numbing work that summers normally get
