IB Analyst Non Compete Enforceability
Incoming 1st year at a LMM in the southeast, signed a noncompete that lays out that within my first 2 years of employment, assuming I leave, I cannot work at any other Investment Bank, Broker/Dealer or even Private Equity firm for at least 2 months (from termination). Does this mean lateraling is basically impossible? Is this something that can discussed with potential future employers, or is it better to avoid a lateral all together?
