IB Appreciation Post
There are so many posts on why banking hours suck etc. that I feel like we should at least have one thread to appreciate the positive aspects of banking -- other than the money
I'll start. For me, the mental tenacity that you gain from the experience is immense and you can, quite literally, do anything else and not be challenged from a work hour standpoint.
While you may get this more in consulting, you definitely get the opportunity to develop the soft skills that you need to thrive in most corporate environments.
Who the fuck cares though. That’s what everyone is feeling. I’m a first year only 6 months into the job and I literally don’t have time for anything but work. The skills will be useful in the future, but man does this really suck
