IB --> Corp Dev --> Back to IB?

I spent 2.5 years as an MM IB analyst before going into CorpDev for the next 7 years. I started at the Manager level and worked my way up to Director at a PE-backed portco. I was impacted by tech layoffs recently and am having a hard time finding a new CorpDev role after pretty much exhausting my existing network.

I've pretty fed up with CorpDev at this point and I'm genuinely interested in getting back into IB again. My deal experience (~20 closed transactions) is primarily in Healthcare IT and Tech, and I would be targeting MM IB roles in the Southeast with this industry focus.

What are prospects in terms of breaking back into IB? And what level would I realistically be starting at? I am not afraid to get into the weeds and grind out models and pitch decks.
