IB Financing Group Exit Ops
Opportunities in the Financing group (not advisory) at a few BBs, what are some exit ops for people in these roles? This is still a part of the IB Division.

My brother just left GS financing for a MF.

do you know other exit ops people he knows left to?
I feel like it’s still very group dependent. Assuming this is GS but even still, the Financing Group has like 8 groups.
Levfin vs ECM vs Derivatives for example are all incredibly different so therefore will have different paths

Depends on group. LevFin, IG Bonds, ABS, Project Finance? Big difference

Thoughts on ECM and LevFin for VC/GE?
I know 2 who left CLO/ABS/CMBS/RMBS principal financing at top BBs not GS. One went to TRowe/PIMCO/Fidelity on a top pm team, another a hedge fund pm team. Financing groups are markets focused but are still very much bankers. We just work closely with the desks.
