IB Internships in HK as an Australian
For context, I’m at a top Australian university studying a BCom (econ/fin), and was wondering whether HK firms would even consider me, considering there’s plenty of top tier local talent, students from mainland as well as plenty of US/UK/CAN students returning home for the summer.
I have a high distinction WAM (gpa), have interned previously in a MM advisory firm in Hong Kong this summer, and can converse in the local languages. However, my parents were unable to register a HKID for me, so I would require visa sponsorship under a training visa (exhausted whv).
Would I even have a shot? I am exchanging in the US till next summer - so won’t be able to do any Australian vacationer internships unfortunately, which is why I’m looking at other options!
Thanks all
