IB - LSE Summer School + HEC Paris Summer School

Current freshman, this summer ill be interning at a small unknown PWM firm I don't think it is something that I'm going to get much out of just thought it would be good to do something finance related during my summer and just get something on my resume as a freshman. I Applied to LSE summer school and got into both Alternative Investments and General Finance, I know ill have a great time as there is a lot to do in London during the summer. However I don't know if I can get myself to pay $3K the program all together is $6K and my parents agreed to paying half but I don't know if I am willing to let them do that because I'm not sure if the program is entirely worth it. I feel the money may be better spent invested. HEC Paris offers a similar program that I am yet to apply for they have specific sections for Investment Banking and Corporate Finance which seems a bit better than LSE however its fully online. HEC Paris is only $3K which is something I wouldn't mind paying and I feel like I might get more out of it, the only thing is I would be missing out of the London experience and possible network of international friends I could make with similar interest. If anyone has advice or knows about the two programs I would really appreciate it!

Yeah I wouldn't expect it to be a game changer in terms of recruiting just something additional to talk about in an interview. LSE Credit would count for a class I take next year and HEC would count as an elective. I think both courses could help with a general understanding of Investment Banking/Finance.
