IBD Training Manuals - Innapropriate to ask

Would it be inappropriate to ask an analyst who works for us at a BB to provide me with a copy of his analyst training manual? I am pretty tight with this guy but would like to maintain at least some semblance of professionalism after the close of our deal. I work at a small PE shop that has not provided any formal training in the past 2 years that I have worked here (although I have probably learned more than if I were in a more structured and hierarchical environment). I am just interested in learning about what is expected of an analyst on the street in the event that I ever wanted to transfer to the sell-side (as I only have buy-side experience). If anyone is willing to trade their materials please PM me or let me know on the board. Thanks.

Don't do it. Would be very inappropriate. Say he gives them to you (which he most likely will), you're then putting him in an terrible position should it become an issue. Most likely he'd just tell you "no can do" and that'd be the end of it, but why risk it? There's plenty of sell-side guidance you can find online or through purchasable books.
