Networking is not a destination, but a continuous journey. You never reach networking nirvana where you can just stop. Put together a list of banks that are reputable - the one I used when I was in undergrad had ~40 banks on there - and just keep hitting the pavement. Whenever you speak with someone, always ask for a referral ("Do you know anyone else who might be willing to speak with me?" is a great line). I too went to a non-target and can assure you that you are nowhere near close. 100% of your interviews will be coming from these contacts.

Investment Banking Career Roadmap (optional)

“I had a really informative and actionable career roadmap with Tim. We went through what I wanted to do longterm and and then we went over the two different paths I was interested in. Tim gave me personal experience of colleagues that made similar steps to the sector that I want to be in. He then provided me with information on the timeline of I should expect when it comes to recruiting and what to do ahead of the time. There was a huge focus on getting a great resume fleshed out, networking with recruiters, current analysts, people who knew people who were hiring. There was a huge emphasis on getting the Series 65 that the company I'm currently working at done before continuing anything else. I look forward to working back with Tim on this endeavor around mid-November. ”

Investment Banking LinkedIn Review

“Johnathan was really good at checking out my Linkedin and making surfing there were not many issues with it. He seemed to know his stuff very well and he was curious about all the posts that I had liked and he had different tactics to make sure that my linkedin could stand out from the rest and make it very competitive for my 2028 internship. The only criteria I had was minimal and it was that he was a few minutes late but that is not a big deal, I know he is a busy guy but overall he was great.”
