If carney wins, mass exodus is the only solution
Let’s face it, Canada is beyond cooked. The fact that Canadians are even remotely considering voting for carney shows that they haven’t learned a damn thing in the last ten years. You do not vote for change by voting for the same damn party that ruined this country for the past ten years with mass immigration, wage suppression, and wokeness, the mishandling of the pandemic and tax on carbon. How does one fix this? Leave. Just get out. Americans if you’re reading this, Canadians who move to the US are not moving there with woke ideologies, they’re desperate to get the fuck out of this shithole.
Carney has a son or daughter who’s a they/them, is close to the WEF, and is copying pp’s policies and liberals buy it. Im wondering whether the entirety of the Canadian population is just dumb or they don’t like change. I don’t get it.
The part that hurts the most is Canada won the geographic lottery and we've decided to waste it away
It’s actually more than sad when you think about it. Not the biggest fan of PP but it would’ve been the reset we needed. Now, it just looks hopeless. Leaving to the states is the only option.
No - you guys deserve this left wing misery. Your country is a cesspool of liberal vulgarity and your conservative voter base is left leaning by US standards. When PP has the courage to condemn DEI (feminist onslaught), may be you will get some respect from us south of the border.
I don’t care what you think of Canada - many of us want to get the fuck out of here. I’m embarrassed by this country. Olivia chow parading around DT Toronto taking down American flags is a disgrace.
That's because WE are overly right leaning, relative to the rest of the world. Canada's right is actually sensible and moderate. But yeah canada's population is cucked with woke mind virus
Yup, I left and part of me hopes Carney sweeps it and continues with the status quo. I'd prefer Canada breaks and we either get a real leader to fix it (and deport 10M people) or fold into America.
I checked your previous content. You’re a Canadian pretending to be American, how embarrassing is that. You’re not viewing anything from the south. Maybe cover your tracks a bit better bro.
Problem is liberals are appealing to boomers - who don't give a shit about anything besides pensions and real estate value going up - or kids of upper-middle class parents who have their tuition, rent, home downpayment funded by the real estate rich parents while they parade around complaining about capitalism and promoting left-wing bs. This is a large enough voter base to keep a minority government for Liberals. Wage suppression and high housing cost have real long-term economic and social consequences that aren't really talked about publicly. Its leading to a brain drain, where smart people leave the country or it pushes people to remain stagnant since working hard isn't gonna make a big difference to their lifestyle (look at Big 4 accounting firm pay, they are disgustingly low for the COL). Then boomers and the govt have the audacity to complain about low-birth rates or couples not having kids altogether when no one can afford to or want to take that economic risk. Only good thing in Canada is the low cost of undergrad programs compared to the US.
you do realize everything you said is the EXACT problems that the US has? like word for word? if you move to a major city (NYC/LA) that has high COL that’s exactly how it is here. theres no getting ahead in America or reaching traditional milestones either —unless you live in a relatively LCOL small city, have family money, an insane commute or are a very high earning couple.
Moving to the US isn’t going to save you lol don’t be fooled by our political media. neither have an answer to any of these problems or are trying to fix it on the right or the left
Here’s what the US has over Canada.
1. Opportunities: far more opportunities than the Canadian market. You’re limited to just Toronto for high finance/ consulting roles and that’s it.
2. Optionality: your economy is much more established across the US meaning there are more places you can work. If NYC doesn’t work out, Chicago, LA, Austin, Dallas, etc could.
3. Salary compression isn’t as bad as Canada: I agree with your point on the cost of living situation in the US. The difference is that the wages are much stronger so in comparison the burden is more bearable. I don’t know if you’ve lived or worked in Canada, but when the economy is in Toronto where the average home is$2M with shitty cad and salary compression nothing is working in your favor.
Why is this on the IB forum?
I for one support Canada destroying itself with immigration and overregulation. Will make it that much cheaper & easier for the US to acquire in the end. At their rate of change it becomes a matter of national security and the country has only existed for this long because the US allows it to.
As a start, why don’t you start disassociating with the propaganda shop VersaFi and cut its funding. Never seen senior bankers in US enthusiastically support cults like Women in Capital Markets.
