I'm very soft spoken.

Will being soft spoken affect from getting a job in IB? I'm taking public speaking next semester to hopefully combat the problem. I can speak loud when I want to, I just wish it would be automatic instead of me having to make sure I'm speaking loud enough.

Everything impacts people's opinion of you. Luckily, you can work on your thing, as opposed to being weird-looking or really short or bald or what have you.

Alternatively, turn the tables and play it like you're using one of Jack Donaghy's negotiating techniques to force people to be quiet and lean towards you in order to hear what you're saying.

There have been many great comebacks throughout history. Jesus was dead but then came back as an all-powerful God-Zombie.

Soft-spoken too. You will eventually learn to control it.

As kenny said, learn to use it at your advantage when you want people to listen to you.
