In dire need of advice

TL;DR: Overall, the gist is not too different to stories of people who quit their roles to take a bit of risk to pursue a venture, start-up, travel and Covid hit. Just not sure how to go from here though.

So, kind of need of advice about next steps because am in a make or break position.

Graduated from a target school in EU (one of UK-top schools for Sciences/Eng etc), majored in a STEM subject. Spent around 2 years working analytics/data modelling in industry before pivoting towards IB through off-cycles [6 month Long-Term internships x2, quite common in Europe], having seen lack of post MBA IB opps here and met numerous people who followed a similar route.

Off-cycles were at well-known local boutique and a US MM (Baird/Blair/Harris Williams) etc. The first one was at a small tech boutique which had a hiring freeze and the second one was affected by Covid (frozen headcount) as it fell right in the peak Covid time. Reviews/references are too good to leave the industry due to an exogenous factor but getting to a point where not sure what the next steps can be. In a non-Covid world would have been analyst at any one of those or another firm (had other offers which I turned down, pre-Covid of course). Have just finished the second gig and wondering about options.

Being out of school now, and seeing lack of lateral opps in the market kind of unsure what to go for now. No longer fussed on IB, to be clear, but just curious whether there is light on the other side of the tunnel?
