In the UK, do analysts or HR do the first round of CV screening?
Figured I'd ask because this site is very US-centric and UK recruiting seems like a different animal. Is it the same way in the US where analysts from each uni screen CVs from their own schools to pick for first round interviews?
It's mixed.
Somtimes HR, sometimes analysts from the same uni. Boutiques typically outsource recruitment agencies (DP) to do the first screen and first interview + test. Then candidates go for either 1 round AC or two rounds with the company. BBs seem to do the analyst route more.
Best of luck.
Many banks have a pre-screening made by HR and then hirvues are assessed by A&A which decide who to give interviews
