Increasing social status

Outside of the job, I'm curious what you all do to maximize social status. Having interesting hobbies, good health and a strong body, the way you dress, the topics you learn about and discuss all have an impact imo. Curious to hear if you all care about this concept and if so what do you to increase your status.

Social status is isolated to the specific sphere you're in. Say you're in a climbing gym and everyone already knows you because you go there, talk to people, and are generally kind and social. Then, you have social status. People can't just see you "having" social status when you're sitting or standing alone in a new environment.

TBH though, I wouldn't worry about this. Having to maximize social status seems incredibly needy and demanding of the affection and praise of others. I'm guessing you read somewhere that social status leads to girls, and this is the cause of all that. Asking how to increase it comes off as you being unable to just be comfortable in public being naturally extroverted. That just ends up coming off as needy, and neediness is like poison to your dating and sexual success.

So just focus on being in places you want to be and talking to people you want to talk to. Then you won't even need to worry about it.

Be useful, that's it...

And stay away from superficial things. Yeah certain clothing can increase your status among certain people. But what happens if you're not wearing those clothes anymore? Then you ain't shit? And do you really want to be in that environment? For example, do you think anyone worth a damn cares about your outfit outside of the fashion industry? Or are you trying to impress bottom feeders, groupies, and sycophants?

Dress appropriate for the rooms you want to be in, be useful in those rooms, and make sure the right people notice so take credit when it's appropriate. The rest will take care of itself.
