Industry Group Decision
Currently an intern in my bank's Industrials group, and have been thinking about asking to switch into the Consumer, Food, and Retail group. The decision is influenced mostly by how interesting the CFR deals are to me compared to Industrials. I'm curious to see what monkeys think about this decision, especially on a macro scale given how a recession may affect deal flow for the respective groups. Any advice/insights would be greatly appreciated.
I’m getting absolutely hammered in my industrials group. How has your experience and hours been like?
Definitely have had my share of late nights and most weekends. To be clear though, I’m more considering CFR due to greater interest in those companies (not anything burnout related).
Why is every industrials group a sweatshop
Probably due to how international it is compared to other industry groups. Nothing beats a 1 AM call with potential buyers in China.
