Infra Fund VBA test?
Have an upcoming VBA test with a separate case study for an infra fund. Anyone has any idea what to expect/likely scope on the VBA test? Never came across something like this, thanks

On some infra models you need to code a VBA macro to break up circularities (basically a loop that's copying and pasting your CFADS until your debt is sized)
Thanks for that, was thinking along the same lines. Just wondering how they will test it though? My guess is i'll be writing a code to fix that circular ref of a populated model?
Sorry to add it's an hour test, wondering if theres more to it, thanks!
I actually never had to build the macro in a modelling test. If it's one hour, I would except a toll road type model where you would just use a goal seek to solve for optimal price/IRR. What type of infra assets do they invest in? Is it greenfield/browfield/secondaries?
haha it isnt a modelling test, really just VBA which i find it strange too. they are generalist but mostly slated towards more operational assets. im just trying to narrow down the possible things they can ask me to code (loops for sure). thanks!
Good luck!
They told you they’re giving you a VBA test with no specifics at all? Sounds like a shit show. Assuming you’re doing it remotely just have YouTube and leetcode ready to guide you through anything.
beats me really haha
